You will be responsible for project deliverables, including system design, software programming, control equipment, on-site startup, and documentation for projects involving controls and monitoring systems. This position will provide an opportunity to be challenged and receive ongoing training. This job will require 25% travel with occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Review specifications and proposals to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- System Design responsibilities, including the preparation and development of equipment submittals, schematic design, equipment layout, and bills of material
- Software Development and Programming responsibilities, including PLC programming (Rockwell/PlantPAX) and HMI graphics development (FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, iFIX, VTScada, Ignition).
- Field Commissioning to include Instrument calibration/configuration, hardware checkout, and software debug.
- Collaboration and communications with internal staff and project stakeholders.
- Documentation, including project records, correspondences, and reports.
- Advise Project Management of customer change requests or proposal discrepancies.
- Work with Purchasing in procuring project equipment and materials.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure efficient and accurate construction.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with one year of experience, or an Associate’s degree in Engineering with two years of related experience, or direct experience in Water/Waste Water, with a minimum of four years of experience and some college instruction in a related field.
- MUST have experience in the Water/Wastewater industry
Skills
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
- Use of personal computers and industrial programming devices
- Knowledge of Auto-CAD
- Knowledge of industrial controls
- Knowledge of industry design standards and specifications
- Understanding of the system or process to be controlled
- Knowledge of HMI and PLC Programming
- Ability to perform calculations required to size components
- Ability to perform work in a timely manner and within budget
