Job summary

Reworld is hiring an Assistant Control Room Operator to oversee daily operation of APC systems, turbine generators, pumps, and related equipment. You will ensure environmental and safety commitments are met while maintaining efficient plant performance.

The role requires a High School Diploma, completion of municipal waste combustion coursework within a year of hire, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts. English communication and respiratory fit testing are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have completed the municipal waste combustion course within a year of hire.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
• Must pass respiratory fit testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation of the Control Room, including crane operation and permit handling.
• Inspect and conduct rounds to keep APC systems within limits.
• Troubleshoot equipment and generate work orders for malfunctions.
• Lockout/tag-out of equipment to support maintenance activities.
• Guide Crane, Auxiliary and Back Plant Operators for safe operation.
• Monitor boiler, turbine and related equipment and respond to alarms.
• Prioritize tasks during emergencies to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Perform water sampling and treatment as required.
