Job summary

Reworld Waste is hiring a Control Room Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will execute approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures to ensure the facility meets its operational, environmental, and safety commitments while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

The role requires monitoring boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment, reading blueprints and P&ID diagrams, and guiding other operators during normal and emergency situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam must be completed within the first year of holding the position.
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation
• Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations
• Experienced in reading blueprints, P&ID’s, and schematic specifications
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks
• Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action
• Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Reworld’s safety and operational goals
