Job summary

The Cypress Creek Juvenile Correction Center in Lecanto, FL is seeking a Control Clerk. The role involves monitoring the Control Desk, gate entry, and ensuring safe movement of staff, youth, and visitors. Training will be provided, and prior experience is not required.

Shifts are 9pm to 9am, with potential changes to 12-hour shifts. A high school diploma and willingness to undergo background checks are required. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to pass criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Must meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the functions of the Control Desk at all times and manage entry of individuals into the site.
• Assist with metal detector compliance, log in and key control, front gate movement, and safe supervision of staff, students and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet program needs.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Control Clerk at The Cypress Creek Juvenile Correction Center in Lecanto, FL

Cypress Creek is a max security residential program for at-risk male youth. Through our trained programming for staff, we promote a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. SHIFTS: 9pm to 9am. Subject to Change with facility needs, Moving to 12 hour shifts.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

What you will do:

Monitors the functions of the Control Desk at all times, all individuals entering the site, including metal detector compliance, log in and key control, front gate entry if applicable and the safe and efficient movement of staff, students and visitors throughout the facility. Other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form to meet the needs of the program.

There is no previous experience required for this role, as training will be provided. We are looking for individuals that are consistent, fair, punctual, motivated, and structure-oriented. If you have prior experience in similar facilities, any military training and/or relevant education, you may be eligible to start above entry-level.
