Job summary

Rite of Passage at The Cypress Creek Juvenile Correction Center in Lecanto, FL is seeking a Control Clerk to maintain secure, orderly operations on the night shift. You will monitor the Control Desk, log entries, manage metal detector compliance and gate access, and oversee the safe movement of staff, youth and visitors with training provided for entry-level candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Must meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the functions of the Control Desk at all times, including metal detector compliance, log in and key control, and front gate entry as applicable.
• Ensure the safe and efficient movement of staff, students, and visitors throughout the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned, verbally or in writing, to meet the needs of the program.

Cypress Creek is a max security residential program for at-risk male youth. Through our trained programming for staff, we promote a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff.We welcome ALL who are passionate about making a difference! SHIFTS: 9pm to 9am

Subject to Change with facility needs, Moving to 12 hour shifts.

Pay

$19.00 per hour

What you will do

Monitors the functions of the Control Desk at all times, all individuals entering the site, including metal detector compliance, log in and key control, front gate entry if applicable and the safe and efficient movement of staff, students and visitors throughout the facility. Other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form to meet the needs of the program.

~ There is no previous experience required for this role, as training will be provided. We are looking for individuals that are consistent, fair, punctual, motivated, and structure-oriented. If you have prior experience in similar facilities, any military training and/or relevant education, you may be eligible to start above entry-level. ~
