Job summary

Scale is seeking a Community Manager to connect hundreds of thousands of expert contributors. You will orchestrate communications, campaigns, and events while shaping contributor experience to meet high-level business goals.

An entrepreneurial mindset and strong stakeholder management across platforms are essential. The role emphasizes strategic operations, content creation, and channel coordination to sustain engagement, with compensation transparency provided for SF/NY/Seattle locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, or project management.
• Proven experience managing active, large-scale communities (thousands of members) on Slack, Discord or Discourse.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills with clear, concise tone.
• Ability to analyze metrics and adapt strategies based on data.

Responsibilities

• Create strategies to increase participation and satisfaction across external platforms (Reddit) and internal communities.
• Develop systems to channel questions, feedback, and disputes across platforms and social channels.
• Lead with vision and align multi-team areas.
• Organize virtual events to foster connection and monitor sentiment; mitigate risk.
• Leverage user feedback and metrics to improve product and operations strategies.
• Enable the team by driving cross-team collaboration and removing blockers.
• Collaborate with operations, support, communications, marketing, and legal to maintain messaging alignment.
• Draft communications for Scale across the contributor journey.
