Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a Community Manager to lead initiatives connecting thousands of expert contributors on our platform. You will execute campaigns, manage communications, and craft content that informs and engages across channels.

You will partner with operations, marketing, and legal to align messaging, organize virtual events, and drive a thoughtful contributor experience that supports Scale's strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, or project management.
• Proven experience managing active, large-scale communities (thousands of members) on platforms like Slack, Discord or Discourse.
• Exceptional writing with flawless spelling and grammar, clear and tone-appropriate communication.
• Ability to synthesize complex details into accessible content.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze metrics and adapt strategies.
• High ownership orientation with willingness to execute operational tasks.
• Passion for building positive, engaging community experiences.
• Can use SQL and/or Claude Code to derive insights (or willing to learn).
• Experience managing at least one direct report.

Responsibilities

• Create strategies to increase participation and satisfaction, overseeing external platforms like Reddit and managing our internal Outlier Community
• Develop systems to efficiently channel questions, feedback, and disputes across our platforms and social channels
• Lead with vision: Set direction for multi-team areas and inspire clarity and alignment
• Organize virtual events to foster connection and monitor community sentiment to proactively mitigate risk
• Leverage user feedback, insights, and metrics to drive improvements in product and operational strategies
• Enable the team: Instill ownership, drive cross-team collaboration, and remove blockers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, support, communications, marketing, and legal to maintain alignment
• Draft all communications Scale sends to contributors, maintaining consistent messaging across the contributor journey
