Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a Community Manager to connect hundreds of thousands of expert contributors on our Generative AI platform. The role blends operations, program management, and creative writing to shape a proactive contributor experience.

You will manage communications, run virtual campaigns and events, and collaborate with operations, support, marketing, and legal to ensure aligned messaging. A strong writer with ownership mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, or project management.
• Proven experience managing active, large-scale communities (thousands of members) on Slack, Discord or Discourse.
• Exceptional communication skills with flawless spelling and grammar; clear, concise, and tone-appropriate.
• Ability to synthesize complex details into accessible content; data-driven with metrics.
• High ownership orientation; willingness to execute operational tasks.
• Passion for building positive, engaging community experiences.
• Can use SQL and/or Claude Code to derive insights from data.
• Experience managing at least one direct report and holding them accountable to outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create strategies to increase participation and satisfaction across platforms.
• Develop systems to channel questions, feedback, and disputes across channels.
• Lead with vision and set direction for multi-team areas; inspire alignment.
• Organize virtual events to foster connection and monitor sentiment; mitigate risk.
• Leverage feedback and metrics to improve product and operations strategies.
• Enable the team; drive cross-team collaboration; remove blockers.
• Collaborate with operations, support, communications, marketing, and legal for cohesive messaging.
• Draft communications across the contributor journey with consistent messaging.
