Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks a Contracts Specialist I or Sr. Contracts Specialist in the Procurement and Property Management Division. You will report to the Subcontracts Manager and provide procurement leadership to meet technical, schedule, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, managing complex procurements, documenting files, and supporting small business and socio-economic programs while maintaining high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a business field or related discipline is required.
• Experience with FAR and federal procurement practices is preferred.
• Ability to develop internal procedures and resolve complex procurement problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement leadership to meet technical, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities with price justification.
• Document procurement files and perform contracts administration.
• Support small business and socio-economic procurement programs.
• Handle higher complexity procurements with risk and dollar value considerations.
• Maintain ethical standards and accountability in operations.
