Job summary

National Life Group in Addison, TX, is seeking a detail‑oriented contracts specialist to ensure accurate processing of contracts, amendments and appointments in line with licensing rules. The role supports distributors and employees, helping drive growth while controlling expenses; on-site schedule requires four days in the office each week, with core days Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in home/field office setting, preferably in insurance or regulated financial services
• High School Diploma; college degree preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); mainframe processing and dual monitors usage
• LOMA courses or related life insurance training preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines; work independently and as a team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills and relationship building

Responsibilities

• Evaluates agents' qualifications via background and licensing reviews and determining required steps for negative information
• Coordinates with Recruiters, Marketing, GA’s, MGA’s, Office Managers and management for support letters and transfers
• Governs issuance of new business and commission payments until agents are licensed and contracted
• Interprets state insurance regulatory requirements to ensure agent compliance
• Evaluates agent history for rehiring or transfer eligibility
• Reviews vendor reports to assess regulatory risk for agents
• Implements workflow changes to improve efficiency and communicates changes to the team
