Job summary

Teledyne FLIR OEM in Goleta, CA seeks a Director of Contracts to lead the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts. You will shape contract strategy, drive compliance, and partner with executive leadership to enable growth while minimizing risk.

You will mentor a contracts team, interact with government officers, prime contractors, and customers, and oversee negotiations, pricing, and governance to deliver compliant, high-value agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is required; Master’s a plus.
• Extensive experience managing complex government and commercial contracts and teams (10+ years).
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS compliance.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of U.S. government and commercial contracts, from proposal through closeout.
• Serve as senior contractual interface with U.S. Government contracting officers, prime contractors, and commercial customers on complex matters.
• Direct negotiations and execution of complex agreements, including long-term and confidentiality agreements.
• Advise executive leadership on contractual strategy, obligations, and risk mitigation.
• Review solicitations to identify key requirements, risks, and deliverables.
• Partner with finance, legal, and program teams on pricing and contract strategy.
• Oversee administration of prime contracts, subcontracts, and commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policy and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and maintain contract documentation and reporting.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and contract governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop contracts staff.

At Teledyne FLIR OEM, you will lead the contracts function supporting advanced technologies for aerospace, defense, and high-performance commercial applications. As Director of Contracts, you will shape contract strategy, drive compliance, and partner with executive leadership to enable business growth while minimizing risk. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will build strong cross-functional relationships and develop a high-performing contracts team.

What you’ll do

Salary

Salary Range: $150,400.00-$200,500.000
