Job summary

Teledyne seeks a Contracts Specialist in Lincoln, Nebraska to negotiate, structure and administer contractual documents with vendors, customers and partners. You will work with sales, service and the legal department to ensure compliance with company policy and government specifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing cost estimates, preparing bids and exhibits, evaluating bids, advising on rights and obligations, and maintaining contract databases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

  • Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids.
  • Negotiates contract with customer or bidder.
  • Requests amendments to or extensions of contracts.
  • Advises departments of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Maintains contract and contractor status databases.
  • Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure smooth contract awarding process.

Works with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts.

Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements.

  • Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required for upper-level review and approval.
  • Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids.
  • Negotiates contract with customer or bidder.
  • Requests amendments to or extensions of contracts.
  • Advises departments of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Compiles data for preparing estimates.
  • Maintains contract and contractor status databases.
  • Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process.
  • May act as liaison between company and subcontractors.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 0-2 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range:

Salary Range: $43,700.00-$58,300.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
