Job description

Position Overview

As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, review, and administration of contractual proposals relating to construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Reviews, comments, logs and tracks a variety of contract and legal documents.
  • Negotiates terms as necessary to help mitigate risk.
  • Tracks subcontracts for status.
  • Processes purchase orders and change orders.
  • Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Drafts and administrates subcontracts to listed subcontractors post‑award on Prime Contracts.
  • Orders and issues Certificates of Insurance.
  • Orders and tracks surety bonds.
  • Recognizes unique requirements, characteristics, and issues based on project/owner specifications.
  • Maintains contract information in accordance with organizational policy and procedures.
  • Ensures that organizations follow compliance with legal requirements and owner specifications.
  • Works closely with operations as well as senior management, in both the business unit and at the corporate level to minimize corporate risk.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Has knowledge of legal requirements with contracts.

  • Proven time management and follow‑through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

  • Displays superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills.
  • Maintains a tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well‑developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel.
Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ contact experience in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a high‑volume environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft software such as Word and Excel.
