Job summary

KOB Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist in Baltimore, MD for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role requires 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience across pediatric to geriatric patients.

Schedule is Mon-Fri with a monthly Saturday shift, and benefits are available. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining records, and adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations while delivering clear explanations to patients

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperature.
