Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience across pediatric to geriatric patients and involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper transport.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with one Saturday per month. Benefits are available. Candidates should have a valid state phlebotomy certification and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensure correct labeling and testing requisitions and transport specimens appropriately.
