Workforce Recruiter is seeking a Phlebotomist (6165) in Baltimore, MD for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with one Saturday per month.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, data entry, and specimen transport, while ensuring compliance with OSHA/DEP and hospital procedures. Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification where required, plus MS Office proficiency, are expected.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification may be required in some states.
• 6+ months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Experience handling pediatric to geriatric patients is required.

Mansioni

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and correctly label tubes.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and provide lab results as needed.
