Job summary

Canadian Pacific Railway is seeking a fixed-term Talent Acquisition Advisor for a 6-8 month contract to lead end-to-end recruitment across Canada and the U.S. You will craft compelling postings, source top talent, guide hiring managers, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

You will collaborate with teams, optimize postings in SuccessFactors, and drive interviews, offers, and onboarding with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years recruiting for engineering, skilled trades, or front-line leaders in industrial settings.
• Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to influence decision-makers and deliver a world-class experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
• Proactive, adaptable self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to change.
• Valid driver's license and passport for travel to Canada.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand position requirements, team dynamics, and timelines.
• Create and optimize job postings; manage postings and candidate progress using SuccessFactors.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies leveraging Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools to attract top talent and support DEI initiatives.
• Screen candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements; participate in interviews and provide guidance on best practices.
• Advise hiring teams through the offer process; coordinate pre-employment steps and onboarding.
