Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to identify, engage, and acquire top talent for roles across the United States and Canada. You will develop recruitment strategies, build talent pipelines, and ensure an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

You will lead full-cycle recruiting, partner with leaders to forecast needs, leverage UKG HRIS/ATS, and travel to support events and partnerships with colleges and technical schools across North America.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition/recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting across the United States and Canada.
  • Metrics-driven sourcing and candidate placement.
  • Strong sourcing using multiple channels (LinkedIn, referrals, social networks).
  • Network within industries across North America.
  • Experience with colleges and technical schools for pipelines.
  • Willingness to travel for recruiting initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • ATS/HRIS experience; UKG preferred.
  • Immigration/work authorization knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process across the United States and Canada.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to forecast talent needs and develop strategies.
  • Utilize UKG HRIS/ATS to track requisitions and hiring activity.
  • Work with leaders to ensure requisitions are submitted and reflected in the ATS.
  • Develop and execute recruitment programs and talent pipelines across North America.
  • Utilize sourcing methods: LinkedIn, cold outreach, referrals, social media, events.
  • Proactively identify passive candidates and build pipelines for needs.
  • Build relationships with hiring leaders as a trusted TA partner.
  • Coach leaders on recruitment best practices and interview strategies.
  • Travel as needed to recruiting events and school partnerships across NA.

Job description

As our Talent Acquisition Partner, you will identify, engage, and acquire top talent for departments across Canada and the United States. Roles may include, but are not limited to, NETA Technicians, Electrical Engineers, Electrical Technologists, Generator Maintenance Technicians, Power Systems Electricians, Electricians, Sales Specialists, Operational Managers, and Corporate professionals.

You will also develop and execute recruiting strategies based on best practices, diversify hiring strategies, enhance employer branding, coach and consult with hiring leaders, develop talent pipelines, and ensure an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions across the United States and Canada, including intake meetings, job descriptions/postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer management.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand current and future talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies to support business objectives.
  • Effectively use the UKG HRIS/ATS to accurately track new and backfill requisitions, approvals, candidate activity, and hiring information to support reporting requirements.
  • Work with hiring leaders to ensure requisitions are submitted, approved, and accurately reflected in the ATS.
  • Develop, implement, and execute recruitment programs and strategies to attract top talent across North America.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including LinkedIn, cold outreach, referrals, social media, networking, employee referrals, industry contacts, and other creative recruiting strategies.
  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates and build qualified talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring leaders and serve as a trusted talent acquisition partner before, during, and after the recruitment process.
  • Coach and consult with hiring leaders on recruitment best practices, interview strategies, candidate assessment, and effective hiring approaches.
  • Collaborate with leaders to understand workforce forecasting and anticipated recruitment needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools, trade schools, and other educational institutions across the U.S. and Canada to develop long-term talent pipelines.
  • Support and participate in college and school partnership programs, career fairs, campus recruiting, technical school events, veteran recruiting events, and other talent acquisition events.
  • Travel as needed throughout the United States and Canada to support recruiting events, school partnerships, career fairs, networking events, and other talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools and educational partners to identify and attract students, graduates, interns, apprentices, and early-career talent.
  • Develop initiatives that support diverse and inclusive sourcing and hiring practices. Maintain a strong understanding of our industry, talent markets, and competitors to effectively identify and attract talent.
  • Enhance our employer brand through networking, social media, community engagement, recruiting events, and other talent attraction strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing and other internal stakeholders on employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives. Serve as a champion for the Employee Referral Bonus Program and identify opportunities to increase employee participation.
  • Understand our career paths, professional development opportunities, and employee value proposition to effectively communicate career opportunities to candidates.
  • Provide a consistent and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition/recruiting experience, preferably within a fast-growing organization.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for a variety of positions, including technical, skilled trades, engineering, field service, sales, operations, and professional roles.
  • Experience recruiting across both the United States and Canada is strongly preferred.
  • A quantifiable, metrics-driven approach to sourcing, recruiting, and placing candidates.
  • Strong sourcing expertise and experience using a variety of recruiting tools, platforms, and strategies to identify passive candidates.
  • An established professional network within relevant industries across North America.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools, trade schools, or other educational institutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for recruiting events, school partnerships, career fairs, and other talent acquisition initiatives as needed.
  • Experience improving and delivering a strong candidate experience.
  • Exceptional prioritization, organization, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and recruiting initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and willing to proactively adjust strategies based on changing business and talent market needs.
  • Creative, resourceful, and knowledgeable about technology and recruiting tools used to improve processes and sourcing strategies.
  • Experience working with an ATS/HRIS; UKG experience is preferred.
  • Experience with immigration and work authorization processes in both Canada and the United States is an asset.
  • Experience recruiting within engineering, field services, electrical, skilled trades, manufacturing, utilities, or other technical/professional environments is an asset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring leaders, educational partners, and industry contacts.
  • Ability to travel as required for the role and recruiting initiatives.
