Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a motivated Contract Surety Underwriter for the West Region. This market-facing role focuses on large accounts, with travel about 20% region-wide.

You will manage and expand a portfolio of domestic and international large accounts, collaborating with top-tier brokers and agents. You will be involved in underwriting and analyzing large contract surety, navigating complex assignments, and driving business development while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in underwriting, banking, mortgage, finance or market facing areas.
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with quotes on new/renewal business and time restraints.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business for large contract surety.
• Navigate complex assignments with confidence and autonomy.
• Build and maintain strategic broker and agency relationships.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
