Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter at either the Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter level for the West Region. The role focuses on underwriting large contract surety and expanding a portfolio across multiple western states.

Travel up to 20% and collaboration with top-tier agents and brokers are key components. The position requires strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines and experience in underwriting or related market-facing areas.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting or market-facing roles in underwriting, finance, or banking.
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to manage time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business for large contract surety.
• Build and maintain strategic broker and agency relationships.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Lead complex large accounts with autonomy and accountability.
