Job summary

Godshall Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant contractor to support multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment. You will handle Accounts Receivable, revenue recognition, treasury activities, and month-end close, with strong emphasis on accurate financial records and Excel analytics.

This contract role offers weekly pay, 40 hours PTO after 1040 hours, and exposure to varied financial reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• Staff accountant experience required.
• AR and GL reconciliation experience.
• Deferred revenue accounting and month-end close preferred.
• Treasury knowledge and cash management.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and accurate customer account balances.
• Perform deferred revenue recognition and maintain supporting schedules and documentation.
• Support treasury functions, including cash management and banking activities.
• Complete bank reconciliations and research discrepancies through resolution.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and payments.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including MSP flux analysis and other financial reporting requirements.

What your future day will look like:

To be a champion in this role, you will need:

• Previous Staff Accountant or related accounting experience required.
• Strong Accounts Receivable and general ledger reconciliation experience.
• Experience with deferred revenue accounting and month-end close processes preferred.
• Knowledge of treasury functions, cash management, and banking activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
