The Contract Specialist (Jr.) will provide contract closeout support to the Closeout Branch, supporting the review and completion of assigned contracts and delivery/task orders. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), contractors, and other members of the centralized closeout team to prepare contracts for final closeout.
The Contract Specialist will support the review of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) contracts, including understanding Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structures and applicable contract documentation. Duties may include obtaining and preparing contract closeout documentation, coordinating contractor documentation, supporting final voucher and audit activities, assisting with contract modifications, and identifying and documenting missing closeout requirements.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining contract and closeout documentation, supporting the Contracting Officer with contract closeout activities, updating closeout tracking information, and coordinating with Government Finance and Security personnel as required. The Contract Specialist may also support acquisition-related activities including market research, requirements documentation, solicitations, contract modifications, and other contract administration activities.
Requires 5–9 years of relevant experience performing actions specific to the labor category, with relevant experience within the last 2 years. Work is generally performed independently and collaboratively with minimal oversight.
Demonstrates working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and applicable agency supplements. Demonstrates knowledge of contract administration and acquisition lifecycle activities, including contract closeout, market research, solicitation support, contract modifications, source selection support, and contract documentation.
Demonstrates the ability to analyze and communicate information, work independently with minimal oversight, collaborate with Government and contractor personnel, and develop clear and accurate documentation in support of contract and acquisition requirements.
Security Clearance: TS clearance required.
