Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a contract role located in Vernon Hills, IL. The position focuses on clearing an existing backlog of expense statements, travel expenses, and invoices, with eventual involvement in month-end close and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate brings strong Excel skills, experience with Concur, Great Plains, and intercompany billing, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate records.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills, including working with formulas and financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across the organization.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while clearing an existing backlog of transactions.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes through training and hands-on practice.
• Project accounting experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process and review employee expense reports and travel expenses via Concur.
• Process outstanding invoices in ReQlogic and maintain timely processing.
• Manage daily accounting transactions and GL postings in Great Plains.
• Monitor corporate credit card transactions and reconcile entries.
• Review daily activity for operational and project expense accounts.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation, transfers, disposals.
• Prepare month-end close documentation, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Support intercompany billing and transaction reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and project expense summaries.
