Job summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated speech-language pathologist for a contracted school-based role near Independence, MO. You will deliver direct therapy to students, aligned with IEP goals, in collaboration with teachers and families to support communication milestones.

You will assess needs, develop and monitor individualized plans, participate in IEP meetings, maintain accurate records, and stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Hold or eligible for CCC-SLP or be CFY-SLP.
• Experience or strong interest in K-12 school-based therapy encouraged.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and staff.
• Proficient in conducting speech-language assessments and implementing IEPs.
• Familiarity with a variety of communication disorders and intervention strategies.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with school/district policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students according to IEP goals.
• Assess students to determine the nature and extent of speech and language impairments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Partner with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and success.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations.
• Maintain thorough and timely records of evaluations, progress, and communications.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school-based SLP services.
