Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a contract role within a school setting. You will conduct assessments, help develop IEPs with staff and parents, and provide direct therapy to students individually and in groups to improve communication goals.

You will maintain accurate progress records, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with families to support student progress in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an SLP.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred; CFY candidates welcome.
• Previous experience in a school setting is ideal but not required.
• Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students speech, language, voice, and fluency skills.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff and parents.
• Provide direct therapy to students individually and in small groups, targeting communication goals that impact classroom success.
• Maintain precise and timely records of progress and session outcomes.
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary planning sessions, and professional development.
• Serve as a resource to teachers and staff regarding speech and language development strategies.
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with families to support students progress.
