Qualifications

  • Strong planning, time-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent accidents and injuries by executing daily safety protocols and orientations.
  • Develop and deliver Safety Training and New Hire Orientations per federal, state and client programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and client safety regulations and policies.
  • Perform on-site safety audits as demanded by the project.
  • Inspire and coach employees to achieve safety goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding injuries and claims.
  • Proactively address claims and injury reduction.
  • Serve as liaison for project drug and alcohol testing.

Contract Safety Advisor – New Florence, MO

The individual in this position is responsible for supporting the coordination of safety supporting the national electrical contractor on the project. The safety professional will work directly for the client contractor and report to a safety lead on-site.

Job Qualifications
  • Must have three or more years’ experience in construction safety.
  • Must have:OSHA 30 Construction and current in First Aid & CPR.
  • Highly prefer CHST but not required.
  • Must be able to conduct daily and weekly safety trainings.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment and criminal background check.
  • Exceptional planning, time-management, and follow-through.
  • Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to review, analyze and discuss safety/risk information or data.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple project tasks and complex situations.
Typical Job Responsibilities
  • Prevent accidents, injuries and claims by fully executing daily new hire orientations.
  • Develop and deliver Safety Training and New Hire Orientations as mandated by Federal, State, Local and Client Programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Client or Project safety regulations, programs, and policies.
  • On occasion, perform job site safety audits on a daily or weekly basis per project demands.
  • Inspire and coach employees to accomplish safety goals.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding injuries and claims.
  • Take a proactive, rather than reactive, approach in claims and injury reduction.
  • Act as the liaison for project drug and alcohol testing.
  • Other duties may be assigned as Client needs dictate and increasing skill level is demonstrated.
