Accounting Search is seeking a phlebotomist in Charlotte, NC for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. Duties include performing blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, and ensuring accurate data entry and specimen tracking.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, hospital or lab experience, and familiarity with OSHA regulations. Benefits are available, and schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
