Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist in Charlotte, NC for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and precise data entry with adherence to safety procedures.

The role requires 6 months of venipuncture experience, a valid Phlebotomy certification, HS diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples by required temperatures; comply with OSHA/DEP rules and attend trainings.
