Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a phlebotomist for a contract role in Glens Falls, NY. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm with every-other-Saturday 7am-12pm; duration 3 months with potential for perm.

The candidate will perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and related duties per protocol. Responsibilities include patient communication during venipuncture, specimen processing, data recording, and adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens following procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly to patients.
• Package, store, and transport specimens per protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Match requisitions to specimens and ensure 100% accuracy.
