CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Glens Falls, NY. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with every other Saturday 7am to 12pm. Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent employment. Benefits are available.

The role requires prior phlebotomy experience and involves performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and following procedures to ensure specimen integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperature and transport protocols.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
