Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Greenwich, CT. The role runs 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays, for an initial duration of 3 months and potential to become permanent.

The candidate will perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, and ensure proper handling in compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. Requires 12 months of venipuncture experience and a state Phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 12 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage and labeling.
