Talent Solutions Partners in Greenwich, CT is seeking a contract Phlebotomist for a 3-month assignment with potential to convert to permanent.

Schedule is 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, recording data, and following safety protocols.

Minimum 2 years venipuncture experience, valid phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are required.

Qualificações

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 12 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physician orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature and protocol.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
