Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Monroe, NY (float position). The schedule is Mon–Thu 8:00am–5:30pm, Fri 8:00am–1:00pm with a 3-month project duration and potential for permanent employment.

The role requires venipuncture experience, a valid phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Benefits are available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to protocol.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
• Ensure OSHA and DEP regulations compliance and attend trainings.
