Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position at the Ashland, Oregon location. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with every other Friday off.

The initial duration is 3 months, with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording and maintaining specimens per protocols, while ensuring proper transport and storage conditions.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and relay laboratory results.
