Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Columbus, GA. The role involves performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate lab data. The assignment is 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen handling, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. Candidates should have at least 6 months of venipuncture experience and a phlebotomy certification as required

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and ensures proper labeling and transport.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
