Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist to support the Columbus, GA laboratory team on a 3-month contract with potential for permanency. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and adhering to safety protocols.

The role requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience, OSHA compliance, and proficiency with MS Office. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with possible travel to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and document maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and collect specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
• Answer telephone inquiries and review laboratory results as needed.
