Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. in Columbus, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role to perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and handle specimen transport. The position requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience and a valid state certification.

The schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:30a-5:30p, with potential for a permanent hire. It may float to other locations as needed; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• Record maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package, store, and transport specimens per test order and protocol.
• Ensure accuracy by matching requisitions to specimen tubes and labeling correctly.
