Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum 5 years' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures, ensuring specimen integrity.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions.
• Pack specimens for transport and maintain proper temperature.
• Attend annual trainings and comply with OSHA regulations.
