Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens with proper labeling and handling.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Ensure specimens match requisitions and test orders.
• Package specimens for transport per protocol and OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend required department trainings and maintain accurate records.
