Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. in Germantown, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position (3 months with potential for permanent). Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper handling and documentation. The role requires valid phlebotomy certification for the state, 5+ years of venipuncture experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of related work in a lab or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
