Clear Concepts, Inc. has an opening for a contract Phlebotomist in Vancouver, WA. The role involves floating to Portland, Beaverton, and Gresham with mileage reimbursement and a 3-month projected duration. Hours are 6am–6pm, Monday–Friday, with variable staffing needs.

Candidates must have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, including blood draws and specimen processing. Pediatric and geriatric experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
• Pediatric and geriatric experience preferred/required.
• Specimen processing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique(s) using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physician orders.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure accuracy.
• Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, and places samples.
