Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist (Job code 5638) for a contract position in Vancouver, WA. The role involves float assignments to Portland, Beaverton and Gresham, with hours 6am–6pm, M-F, for about 3 months. Mileage is paid and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understands physicians' orders and matches requisitions to samples.
• Packages specimens for transport and ensures correct labeling and routing.
• Stores specimens per required temperatures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and politely.
• Demonstrate venipuncture technique.
• Understand and follow physicians' orders.
