Job summary

Your Talent Team in Vancouver, WA seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract. Float to Portland, Beaverton and Gresham; schedule 6am–6pm, M-F. Requires clean driving record and reliable transportation. Pediatric and geriatric experience and specimen processing expertise are required. Mileage reimbursement provided along with benefits.

Job supports blood draws, specimen labeling, and processing; variety of duties includes troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvements as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Pediatric and geriatric patient experience required.
• Specimen processing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physicians' orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Stores specimen samples according to required temperature and places samples as instructed.
