Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Vancouver, WA. The role involves float duties across Portland, Beaverton, and Gresham, with mileage reimbursement and shift hours around 6am–6pm, M-F, for approximately 3 months.

The ideal candidate has pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience and specimen processing expertise, plus a clean driving record and reliable transportation. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience required.
• Specimen processing experience required.
• Pediatric and geriatric patient experience preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physicians' orders.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
