Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, specimen processing, and related duties in Vancouver, WA. This contract role involves float assignments to Portland, Beaverton, and Gresham, with hours 6am-6pm, M-F.

Mileage reimbursement is provided and a clean driving record is required. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of experience as phlebotomist or in a similar role.
• Pediatric and geriatric experience preferred.
• Specimen processing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understands physician orders and matches requisitions.
• Packages specimens for transport and labels correctly.
• Stores specimens at required temperatures.
