Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. The role is a float position with duties from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. The contract lasts about 3 months with potential for permanent employment.

Starting pay is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, with mileage reimbursement for travel. Pediatric and geriatric experience is required along with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification is required.
• Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or clinical setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate proper needle techniques and follow physicians' orders.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, and package specimens per test orders.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy and transport specimens correctly.
• Store and label specimens at required temperatures and ensure specimen integrity for transport.
• Adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to respond to inquiries.
