The position requires a valid phlebotomy certification for the state, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule is M-F, 8:30a-5:30p, with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure proper labeling, centrifugation, and packaging for transport per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries by reading laboratory results and communicating with staff.
