Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Columbus, GA. The position includes blood draws, labeling, and specimen handling with potential to convert to permanent employment. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with possible travel to other locations as needed.

A 3-month duration is projected with potential for perm. Benefits are available. Three years of phlebotomy experience is required, along with standard lab duties and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature and labeling.
