Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate, update patient information, and manage specimen transport.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Follow protocol to ensure specimen integrity and proper labeling.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate effectively with staff.
