Job summary

United Future in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3‑month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is M-F 7a‑4p. The role involves assisting with blood draws, specimen labeling, and workflow improvements in a clinical lab setting.

Primary responsibilities include performing venipuncture, processing specimens, ensuring accuracy of requisitions, and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations. A valid phlebotomy certification and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously, using straight or butterfly needles.
